| Some tips on photographing your paintings |

Set up the camera on a tripod in front of the work and focus on the picture's centre.. it is preferable if the painting is on a stand or easel to give equal height. Place lights of equal strength and at the same distance apart (giving a 45 degree angle) on either side and direct onto the painting to eliminate flash reflections. You may have a steady hand but the tripod or even a pile of books will work better for you. Overhead pictures - works on small paintings best. |
