BIO

Hi! my name is Jaime, I was born in South London but I now live on the West Coast of Scotland with my husband and our 3 children.

I'm a self-taught painter; I've always found that becoming involved in a picture helps me to relax. For about 20 years I have been drawing using pencil, chalk and oil pastel; 6 years ago I tried oil paint for the first time and loved it so much that it's now all I use. I love the way it blends, the boldness and the texture you can create.

I love variety so I don't specialize in just one subject and I take inspiration from things all around me such as the wonderful views or even the colour of someone's clothes. Other times, ideas just pop into my head and until I transfer it onto canvas I am not even sure it will work.
